Game Mechanics (Bonuses)

A bonus is normally achieved after completing a certain task or a number of them. bonuses are normally in game to help the player advance there skills even more or to get more items, an example of this is Sonic heroes where there is a bonus stage to get a chaos emerald

Game mechanics (cascading informaion)

Cascading information is releasing information in small quantities over a certain time. If a player was to get a lot of information thrown at them they would probably not remember everything that would have to be done. which is why they are normally short targets like ‘ get to the checkpoint’

Game mechanics (lottery)

lottery is when a certain amount of people come together to gamble what money or coins they have in game to come out with more at the end, some players however never win and they come to conclusions thinking its bias and will use real life money to aid in them wining for one (if that Is possible)

Game mechanics (Countdown)

Countdowns are normally a big part of racing games in time trials but can be included in other games as you could have a certain time to complete a mission or task, players will be excited when they are able to complete something in a certain time as they may get something in return which sometimes does happen

Game mechnics (Discovery)

Discovery in games enable the players to find new areas and possibly items that are hidden away that could help with the story. finding certain items could help your character live for longer like in dead rising if you find two certain weapons you can merge them together to create a new weapon and that will happen in other games too
