Game mechanics (quests)

Quests can carry on the main story or can be on the side of the game where you can unlock abilities or items. Main quests normally advance the story so the player can go and complete the game. Some quests can only be played though if you are a certain level or if the player has bought the DLC to play it

Game mechanics (urgent optimisim)

Urgent optimism I where the player would level up to make sure they can beat the boss coming up if they know the level he is at so they know that they will be able t defeat him with ease so they aren’t stuck at that point for a while as i’m sure most people have had a game here they have been stuck because they haven’t been a high enough level

Game Mechanic (Ownership)

Ownership refers to the player becoming attachedĀ  to a life form with In a game this can include real life animals that are in games or monsters. An example of a game where the player will get attached to an animal is nintendogs. This game is on Nintendo and allows people to raise a dog if they was unable to in real life. The players can be so attached to the pet that they could have a emotional response if the game is lost or the pet dies

Game Mechanics (Epicness)

Epicness are elements of the game that players try to accomplish, players will sometimes find help from friends justĀ so they are able to accomplish such epicness. Thy normally try to achieve this epicness as they believe that it is bigger then themselves

Game mechanics (Infinite gameplay)

Infinite gameplay are games that don’t have an ending an great example of this is Tetris. They allow the player to play for a log period of time but as they do the players may lose concentration which could make the lose and start again which can be annoying sometimes for the player but it just sets them up with a goal to beat there score
